Five Days for the Homeless is a charity campaign founded in 2005 by students from the School of Business at the University of Alberta. It is a 5 day campaign in which university students live "homeless" on their campus to raise money and awareness for a local charity.
Last year was Laurier's second year participating in the campaign, which raised $170,000 nationwide with seventeen schools participating across Canada. This year's campaign will be held March 14th, 2010 to March 19th, 2010 and Laurier has 4 participants set to sleep outside.
We are currently recruiting general volunteers to help out with the 2010 campaign. Volunteer Information Sessions will be occurring Wednesday February 24th, 2010 and Thursday February 25th, 2010. Location and time is TBA.
