Hosted by the School of Business & Economics Students’ Society, the SBE Clubs RoundTable is designed to allow executives from the different  Clubs within the School of Business & Economics to come together to discuss key issues in regards to running a student-led organization.  This event will equip executives with new skills and fresh ideas in order to ensure both the success of their respective clubs and personal development.  In order to ensure optimal knowledge and information sharing, external professionals that have previously been involved with leading student organizations, will be brought in to facilitate group discussions.

SBE Clubs RoundTable is a full day event and will occur on Saturday, November 12 from 9AM to 5:30PM. The day will consist of open roundtable discussions on a variety of events, a keynote speaker and formal luncheon, and opportunities to network with executives from different organizations.

Please rank all the sessions bellow based on preference, we will try our best to accommodate everyone's requests, but sessions will based on first come first basis.

Conflict Resolution - As an executive you are responsible for managing and working with numerous individuals. Learn how to better handle situations that may place you or your team members in an uncomfortable position and learn how to turn every conflict into an opportunity. 

Policy Creation - Often clubs are faced with scenarios in which the resolution or answer to your question is not clearly outlined within your constitution or organizational policies. Learn what to look for when creating policies in order to help future generations.

Motivation - When working with a team of individuals for an entire year it can be easy for others to lose motivation and be committed at all times. Learn how to keep yourself and your team members engaged and motivated.

Sponsorship - Sponsorship support and corporate partnerships are an integral part of any student-led organization. Learn how to leverage relationships with sponsors to increase involvement on and off campus, manage relationships with existing sponsors, approach new sponsors and build effective sponsorship packages.

Branding Your Club - Standing out and differentiating your organization is what often lead to a successful year as a club. Learn how to define yourself to students, target different groups of students and learn different promotional tactics that can be employed.

Team Communication – In managing organizations, it is often very difficult to ensure proper and constant communication across all teams and functions.  Learn how to effectively communicate with a team of individuals, addressing factors such as communication methods, co-op, and unresponsiveness.  

Event Planning – Pulling off a successful event is key in building your club’s reputation.  In planning an event, large or small-scale, there are often many details that get overlooked and forgotten.  Learn the fundamentals behind event planning and what to look for when planning an event on- or off-campus.
