Corporate Relations

> Vice President of Corporate Relations

The Vice President of Corporate Relations is responsible for the management of the SBESS Corporate Partners Program (CPP). They are responsible for creating a comprehensive sponsorship package including all SBESS events and selected events from other SBE Clubs, managing a team complied of Corporate Relations Managers and Executive Corporate Relations Manager, manage communications regarding sponsorship with event planners, creating individual sponsorship plans for Corporate Partners/ securing sponsorships, finding new corporate candidates to be involved in the CPP, and manage the SBESS' relationships with current Corporate Partners. They must act as a general liaison between SBE Clubs and the SBESS' Corporate Partners for non-CPP events.

Time commitment was 20 hours per week

> Executive Corporate Relations Manager

The Executive Corporate Relations Manager is responsible in helping manage the Corporate Relations portfolio and Corporate Relations Managers alongside the Vice President of Corporate Relations. The duties of the Executive Corporate Relations Manager includes overseeing and assisting other Corporate Relations Managers, helping create the Corporate Partners Program, meeting with SBE Clubs to determine sponsorship goals, being in constant contact with companies (assigned or new) to form relationships and gain sponsorship, performing any administrative tasks as needed by the Vice President of Corporate Relations, and attending all SBESS related events with sponsors.

Average time commitment was 10 hours per week.

> Corporate Relations Manager

Corporate Relations Managers work directly with the Vice President of Corporate Relations and Executive Corporate Relations Manager. They are in charge of handling a group of corporate partners and establishing/ maintaining relationships with those partners. It is their job to stay in touch, keep them updated, and get them involved with on-campus events.

The average time commitment was 10 hours per week.

Marketing and Communications

> Vice President of Marketing and Communications

The Vice President of Marketing and Communications is responsible for the marketing and communications for the SBESS, as well as all of the SBESS events and services, therefore being strongly present in all plans and working closely with all portfolios. The VP is responsible for:
-      Promoting SBESS events and services through the available mediums including print, SBE TV, website and social media while ensuring that the SBESS brand is strongly present and up to date with relevant news in all promotions.
-      Ensures that communication between the student body and the SBESS along with the SBE Clubs is streamlined and efficient with the use of mediums such as the SBE Weekly Newsletter.  
-      Communicate with the students and understand the needs and wants of the student body, in order to successfully market the various events and services to the target market through market research.
-      Responsible for SBE ‘Swag’ along with Swag Coordinators to deliver SBE clothing and merchandise for the students of the SBE. 
-      The leader of a large team that consists of Marketing Managers, Design Coordinators, Street Team (guerrilla marketing) Coordinators, a Street Team of approximately 15 students, I.T. Coordinators, and more.

The average time commitment is approximately 30 hours per week.

> Design Coordinator

The Design Coordinator is responsible for the overall visual identity of the SBESS and its' portfolio of events and services. The Design Coordinator will not only use their skills in design and creative marketing, but also implement and maintain a vision for the overall strategy of the SBESS brand.

The average time commitment was 10 hours per week.

> Marketing Manager

The Marketing Manager will assist the VP of Marketing and Communications in creating and implementing creative marketing strategies and campaigns for the SBESS and its portfolio of events and services. There will be three managers, each involved in all events and services through different aspects- one for design, one for communications, and one for market research/sales. The position will involve coordinating efforts between three distinct teams and encouraging collaboration on projects between said teams. Those applying should specify their interest in which aspect they would like to manage.

The average time commitment was 10 hours per week.

> Photographer

The Photographer position involves documenting SBESS events and services for archiving and marketing purposes. Photo shoots will also occur for purely marketing purposes (e.g. Council headshots, building shots, Christmas cards, etc.)

The average time commitment was 5 hours per week.

> Sales and Promotions Coordinator

The Sales and Promotions Coordinator is responsible for coordinating promotional efforts for the various SBESS events and services in association with the other members of the Communications Team. The role involves coordinating sales logistics for events, which require exchanges of goods. The person in this position will come up with the overall strategy for sales for the events and services of the SBESS.

The average time was 15 hours per week.

> Street Team Coordinator

The Street Team Coordinator positions are leadership positions on the SBESS Street Team. Basic responsibilities include implementing guerrilla marketing strategies, scheduling team members, planning team social events, and training initiatives.

The average time commitment was 4 hours a week.

> Street Team Member

The SBE Street Team is responsible for engaging students, staff, and faculty in the many events and services of the SBESS in unique and creative guerrilla marketing strategies. The SBESS Street Team has a goal of becoming a well-known group of individuals on campus who can motivate and grab the attention of potential 'customers'. Each member of the Street Team is a vital part of the organization, and interrelates with almost all aspects of the SBESS events and members.

The average time commitment was 2 hours a week.

> SWAG Coordinator

The SWAG Coordinator position involves managing all aspects of the SWAG business. It will involve coordinating with the other facets of the Communications Team to achieve specific marketing and promotions goals for the SBE SWAG. The Coordinators will deliver merchandise and clothing sales for the student body while meeting the merchandise wants and needs of the students. Knowledge of business operations and basic financial accounting is strongly recommended.

The average time commitment was 6 hours a week.

> Information Technology Coordinator

The Information Technology Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the SBESS website. Programs include eCommerce, advanced content managements systems, troubleshooting, and Internal Intranet & e-communications. The position also requires that the individual be available to help with other technology such as audio-visual equipment setup and operation.

The average time commitment was 10 hours a week.

> Social Media Director

The Social Media Director is responsible for promoting all SBESS events and services through social media, as well as communicating with the student body and faculty by frequently updating Twitter ‘tweets’ and Facebook statuses, keeping everyone up to date with SBESS news. The Director must also encourage Facebook ‘likes’ and Twitter ‘followers”, constantly communicate with students through these mediums and answer any questions inquired.

The average time commitment is 7 hours per week.

> Market Research Coordinator

The Market Research Coordinator is responsible for developing ways in which to communicate with students, researching their wants, needs, and expectations of the SBESS, and bringing this data back to council to implement in the plans and goals of the society. The Coordinator must be able to work well with people and truly understand the student body so the society made aware and the SBE student experience is made the best it can be.

The average time commitment is 10 hours per week.

Finance

> Vice President of Finance

The Vice President of Finance is responsible for overseeing the financial operations, coordinating yearly budgeting procedures and managing ongoing spending of the SBESS and SBE Clubs. They will cooperate with the SBESS President, VP Finance of each SBE club and WLUSU's Finance team in order to develop the budget for the fiscal year. The Vice President of Finance will continuously work with the Finance Manager in completing the weekly reimbursements.

The average time commitment was 20 hours.

> Finance Manager

The Finance Manager works directly with and reports to the Vice President of Finance. Their duties include assisting the Vice President of Finance in all SBESS finance matters, supporting SBE clubs with any financial inquiries, and ensuring reimbursements are done accurately and in a timely manner.

The average time commitment was 10 hours a week.

Human Resources

> Vice President of Human Resources

The Vice President of Human Resources is responsible for coordinating hiring and managing the administrative needs of the SBESS. The Vice President of Human Resources will oversee the team through transitions, new member on-boarding, and general Council activities. General responsibilities include all general hiring for SBESS, room bookings for SBE Clubs and SBESS, planning socials and retreats, keeping morale high, organizing attendance and meeting minutes, and completing Co-Curricular Records.

The average time commitment was 20 hours a week.

Academic Affairs

> Vice President of Academic Affairs

The Vice President of Academic Affairs is responsible for all academic programs and services offered by the SBESS, including SBE Mentorship Program, Head Mentors, Orientation Day, Bunch events, Laurier's JDCC Team, Laurier Academic Case Competition and general SBE faculty relations. This Executive is responsible for 6 Coordinators, 40+ JDCC Team Members, 5 Head Mentors, and 10+ events.

The average time commitment was 30 hours a week.

> Academic Programs Coordinator

The Academic Programs Coordinator is responsible for the management and organization of student oriented academic services for the SBE Mentorship program and the Head Mentors. Their portfolio includes the assisting with Orientation Day presentations, First Year Mentorship Program, managing the Head Mentor team and SBE Bunches (Business + Lunch).

The average time commitment was 5-10 hours per week dependent on activities occurring.

> JDCC Captain

JDC Central is the largest case competition in Canada, which is comprised of academic, debate, social, and sports competitions. The JDCC Captain is responsible for the recruitment, selection, management, and coaching of the JDCC Central Team. With this position, the JDCC Captain liaises with other school captains and the event coordinators of JDCC.

The average time commitment was 40 hours per week.

> Orientation Day Co-ordinator

The Orientation Day Co-ordinator is responsible for managing and executing the largest student run and student oriented SBESS event. Throughout the summer months, the Co-ordinator will oversee the planning and organizing of all Orientation Day activities.

The average time commitment was 10 hours a week.

> Orientation Day Decorations Manager

This person is responsible for researching prices for most cost efficient decorations and the color scheme, centrepieces, and general visuals of the event.

The average time commitment was 5 hours per week (Summer).

> Orientation Day Food and Drink Manager

This person is responsible for working with the selected venue to determine catering options, along with researching breakfast options and snack alternatives for the beginning and ending of the event. 

The average time commitment was 5 hours per week (Summer).

> Orientation Day Logistics Manager

They are responsible for coordinating all the details for the event, including registration, transportation, venue setup, name tags, table arrangements and general planning for the day.

> Orientation Day Mail-Outs Manager

This person is responsible for sending out O-Day invitations to all first year students, and tracking registration via PayPal. Furthermore, they must constantly update and track number of attendees with fellow O-day committee members and oversee registration and arrival on O-day. When their role is complete, they are responsible for assisting the remainder of the team.

The average time commitment was 5 hours per week (Summer).

> SBE Mentor

SBE Mentors are responsible for advising and providing guidance for several first year students, helping with the set-up and facilitation of workshop activities on Orientation Day (O-Day) in September, monthly events throughout the year, bi-weekly meetings with the Head Mentors to learn their role and meet up frequently throughout the year with their first years to address any questions or concerns.

The average time commitment was 2-5 hours per week.

Internal Affairs

> Vice President of Internal Affairs

The Vice President of Internal Affairs is responsible for the dealings of the SBESS and many events targeting the SBE student body, including the SBE Graduation Formal and Snow Ball winter formal. All internal and social events within the school are managed and executed through this executive making them responsible for 3 Coordinators and 8+ events. The Vice President of Internal Affairs must also be available to help others in various portfolios as they run their events if needed.

The average time commitment was 20 hours a week (more as you get closer to certain events).

> Snow Ball Coordinator

The Co-ordinators of Snowball are responsible for the planning and execution of Snowball - a formal offered to students of all faculties to celebrate the end of the Fall term.  This position also involves leading and directing the Snowball Committee. 

The average time commitment was 4 hours.

> Snow Ball Decorations Manager

The Snow Ball Decorations Manager is responsible for the vision of what Snow Ball should look like visually and execute that vision. With designing the visual appeal of the event they will also need to put together the decorations from purchasing the physical needs, creating the decorations and setting them on the days prior to the event. The Decorations Manager will need to consult with the Snow Ball team in creating the budget for their decorations ideas, including centerpieces, table decorations and aiding with the room decor. They will also be responsible to help with the creation of some of the marketing material and designing the overall style of the Snow Ball promotions.

The average time commitment was 5 hours per week.

> Snow Ball Donations Manager

The Donations Manager is responsible for getting donations from both inside the WLU Campus life as well as outside WLU in the Waterloo Community. The Donations Manager will be responsible for contacting different businesses, getting the physical donations and sending thank-yous as well as mentioning all those who donated at the actual event.

The average time commitment was 5 hours per week. 

External Affairs

> Vice President of External Affairs

The Vice President of External Relations is responsible for the dealings of the SBESS with organizations external to the SBESS, including the 20 clubs within the SBESS, 5 Days for the Homeless, and SBE Cares. This Executive is responsible for 5 Coordinators, and 5+ events.

The average time commitment was 30 hours a week.

> SBE Clubs Coordinator

The SBE Clubs Coordinator is responsible for the development and maintenance of relationships with all acting SBE clubs. They are the liaison between the clubs and SBESS and WLUSU, ensuring to continuously represent the clubs' best interests. The Clubs Coordinator is responsible for co-ordinating and acting as the Chair for regular bi-weekly SBE Presidents’ Council Meetings, facilitating periodic one-on-one meetings with club presidents, monitoring the day-to-day operations of every club and making sure each club is following strict guidelines. The role involves regularly attending club events in order to support club initiatives and meet club executives.  The Clubs Coordinator is also responsible for planning and coordinating Presidents’ Retreat Weekend, Fall and Winter Laurier Day Clubs Fair, SBE RoundTable, SBE Clubs Competition & SBE Year End Banquet.

The average time commitment was 15 hours per week.

> Associate SBE Clubs Coordinator

The Associate SBE Clubs Coordinator will be responsible in assisting the current Clubs Coordinator in managing the SBE Clubs and their interactions with WLUSU and SBESS. This individual will be responsible for attending bi-weekly President Meetings, helping logistically plan events such as Laurier Day, SBE Clubs Competition and Year End Banquet, as well other day-to-day tasks.

The average time commitment was 7 hours per week.

> Conferences and Competitions Coordinator

The Conferences and Competitions Coordinator is responsible for liaising with external schools and other SBE clubs, as well as advertising business Conferences/Competitions to all SBE students. Included in the C&C portfolio is general events available to all students, SBE club related events, and SBESS executive conferences.

The average time commitment was 7 hours per week.
