Hi Carole,

My name is Lucy Zhang and I am currently a second year student in the BBA Program. Due to recent events in Haiti, my friend Ruxi Coman and I have decided to start up a group within the Laurier community solely for the purpose of raising money to give to the Canadian Red Cross on behalf of our school. There has been over 50 000 deaths confirmed to date with thousands more missing or injured. The Canadian Red Cross is currently providing much needed shelter, water and medical aid to those in need. We have started a facebook group and will book rooms for coming weeks where we will be available for students who want to drop by and donate. Our goal is $5000 dollars which is very possible if we can get the word out.

The reason I am emailing you now is to ask for your help in spreading the word. If you could please include this in the SBE weekly emails or as a separate email to all the business students we would greatly appreciate that. As well if teachers or staff would be interested donating that would also be welcomed. I can email you early next week about which rooms and times we will have booked so that students can drop by.
